Blazing Hot Day in Temagami

Temagami, Ontario

During our 4 day stay at Marten River Provincial Park we decided to take a trip into Temagami. It was an extremely hot day and we were looking for something to do that wouldn’t result in us getting heat stroke or bursting into flames.

It ended up being too hot and buggy to do much, which is really too bad since I’ve heard there are some fantastic spots in the area but we hadn’t researched it enough and the Tourist Information employee seemed to know less about the area than I did (why is this usually the case?).

The Temagami Railway Station was restored in 1996 and all trains were discontinued in 2012. Northlander trains and the seasonal Dream Catcher Express use to stop there.
