Joyce Sidman, the poet of this children’s nature poetry collection, is the author of “The World According to Dog”, which was the winner of the ASPCA Henry Bergh Children’s book award for poetry.  She has written many books on the children’s bestseller list.  The illustrator, Beckie Prange, has a degree in biology and a graduate certificate in natural science illustration.  Together, these women have created a book that will awaken the wonder of nature in your young person’s heart.  This book has won the prestigious Caldecott Honor Award for Excellence.   You could not go wrong by opening its pages to share such fantastic work with your child.
