Lorne Henderson Conservation Area – In Pictures, 2006

Lorne Henderson is the closest conservation area to where we live, and it’s right outside of Petrolia. I spent an evening camping out of my truck on Thanksgiving weekend in 2006 so that I could be there to photograph the sunset and the moon. The fall colours were spectacular and a heron appeared several times during my stay. The park was very quiet, considering it can be a very busy and loud weekend to camp.

In the morning I got up early to see about photographing the sunrise, but it was overcast and the colours were dull. Oh well, the evening before was more than enough to make my stay worth it.
