Restoule Provincial Park was our third stop during our Epic Camping trip this past summer (2015). Leading up to this trip we were concerned that hiking would be limited in length and duration due to Maya’s age and physical condition. Obviously her spring conditioning, which included swimming and walks that were not on hard surfaces, made a huge difference. Maya surprised and amazed us as she hiked all but one of Restoule’s hiking trails. The most impressive was her ability to climb up and down steep, rocky inclines during the 7 kilometre Fire Tower Trail hike. What a joy it was to watch her traverse such a difficult trail.
