Jim Woodring was born in 1952 and is an American cartoonist, fine artist, writer and toy designer. He is probably best known for his comic book series called Jim and another called Frank. He uses several themes and motifs in his work including dreams, frogs, jivas (a living being) and The Unifactor, which is a world Jim created for his Frank character.
