Quidditty Trail is a beautiful hike at Charleston Lake Provincial Park. The trail begins fairly flat, with a wide path that meanders through a mixed hardwood forest. It then opens up to a vibrant wetland at the one end of the lake and visitors can enjoy the wildflowers, birds and pollinators along two different boardwalks. We were lucky enough to spot a Great Blue Heron that watched us carefully before flying away.
After the boardwalks, the trail becomes narrower and a bit more difficult as it leads hikers up an incline to the scenic lookout. The lookout would be a perfect spot for a mid-day picnic or to watch the sunrise.
The trail is linear but as we walked back it looked completely different and we thoroughly enjoyed the hike and would highly recommend it to campers or day-use visitors.
The first 300 metres of the trail is considered barrier-free.
