After a week of camping at Cape Breton Highlands National Park we made our way to Sydney, Nova Scotia in order to catch an overnight ferry to Newfoundland. We had some time to kill before the 9am ferry so we took a driving tour east of the city.
One of the stops we made was at the Mira Gut Beach to let Maya have a swim and to check out the old steel bridge. During our walk on the beach we watched an osprey hunting for fish and Maya decided to fish for some Capelin that were swimming near shore.
All of us put our toes in the water, but only Maya actually went for a swim because she would never turn down the chance to retrieve a stick.
