On our last day at Bon Echo Provincial Park, we decided to take a walk from the north dock, up to the Narrows and around to the Lagoon. I decided to take my camera instead of doing a video since I had already captured this walk on video earlier. Chloe took every opportunity she had to roll in things, get her toes wet and check every view along the shore. I think she definitely missed all of the water access that she started to really enjoy.
I captured lots of the areas and facilities, including the tour boat area, amphitheatre and such, but if you want to see more, check out the walking tour videos, part 1 and part 2. You’ll be able to see more of the part and get more information.
In the afternoon we rented a canoe for 24 hours, which cost us $40. Their boats were in pretty rough shape and they were all quite large and very heavy. We tried one but it was too unstable with Chloe moving around and the waves caused either by the wind and/or motorboats. Chloe did great, as she has in the past. We went back out in the evening to film the sunset and to take another ride out on the Mazinaw Lakes.
We spent part of the evening taking down tarps and the screen tent since we would be leaving the next day. Before leaving on our last day we went out for another canoe ride, which was quiet and calm and the reflections of the rock in the water were beautiful.
After returning the canoe we finshed packing up the trailer, had a quick lunch and we were out of the park by 1pm, on our way to Fitzroy Provincial Park.
