More facts about the Arctic Fox:
Also known as the white fox, the polar fox, or the snow fox.
Can survive in temperatures as low as -50° C where there are literally no trees.
Main food source are lemmings.
Only native land mammal in Iceland.
Found throughout the Arctic tundra (Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Russia, Norway and Iceland)
Does not hibernate in the winter.
A female is called a vixen.
Their fur ranges from white to blue-gray in the winter and brown or gray in the summer.
