It was our last day at Fitzroy Provincial Park and our 14th day of our Provincial Park Adventure! The day started with yoga and breakfast before heading out from our trailer to show you the park. We made our way to the beach where we could see a large hydro-electric dam across the Ottawa River and on top of one of the huge hydro lines was an enormous Osprey nest!
From there we took one of the walking paths that lead to the dock area and then another to the day-use / picnic area for the park. There we found lots of shade, picnic tables, playground equipment and canoe rentals. At the far end, we took Chloe down to the shoreline (beyond the designated beach area) where she swam and had a zoomie on the beach! This was one of the first times she actually swam for any length of time and not accidentally! We were so excited!
While eating our lunch back at the travel, a young fawn made it’s way to our site and other campers came too close to get a look. It was an adorable creature, but it was scared and needed an escape route to find its mom. Eventually, it did get past the people and hopefully rejoined its family somewhere safe.
