It’s March and you’re sick and tired of feeling trapped in the house! I’ve got a great idea for you, try snowshoeing!
Snowshoeing is an amazing activity to do in the winter for kids, teenagers, young adults, adults and seniors! If you are steady on your feet then you can probably snowshoe. This is a ‘sport’ that is easy to do, poses little risk of injury and it is pretty inexpensive. You might be able to find somewhere locally to rent snowshoes, borrow your friends or buy an inexpensive pair.
Snowshoeing is a great cardiovascular activity that can burn more than 600 calories per hour! If you are a walker or runner, you’ll burn 45% more calories snowshoeing than running or walking at the same speed. This makes it great for losing weight and keeping in shape.
So if you want to get outside in the winter, stay fit and enjoy a fairly inexpensive winter activity – try snowshoeing!
Go with friends. Go with your family. Join a snowshoeing club. It doesn’t matter if you go out for half an hour or half the day, you’ll have a blast playing in the snow.
