Bruce Adventure Small Town Garden

2011-August-05-18586-300x200 Bruce Adventure Small Town GardenTaking part in the annual Bruce Adventure scavenger hunt is a great way to get to see a variety of place in Bruce County, Ontario. We did it the first year and several years after. Locals seem to go on day trips to the different spots but those of us who live a few hours away usually do it while we are camping in the area. MacGregor Point or Sauble Falls Provincial Parks are both great places to use as a base camp for completing the adventure.

Each year the stops are different. Some take you to businesses, some to small town locations and others to places you can hike. None of the stops require you to spend money, but they are hoping you might check out local restaurants and businesses while you are there.

Several years ago, 2011, we did the stops on two different trips in the Bruce Peninsula area. One of the stops took out to an out of the way town that we had never been to. The hint took us to Lewis Park in Ripley, Ontario.

After stamping our ‘passport’ we had lunch, Chitra had fun on the swings and I took some shots of the beautiful flowers, some of them were even native!
