Being In Touch

Sir David Attenborough is a broadcaster and naturalist. He is probably best known for his BBC Life series which covered animal and plant life on the planet. His work on The Living Planet and other public comments have focused on how the human population is destroying the environment and what should be done to stop or reverse it. In the past he has been criticized for creating an idyllic representation of the wilderness through his documentaries and not drawing enough attention to the destruction of wildlife and habitat by human activities.

Since 2005 he has increased his environmental activism. He has worked on projects with BirdLife International and WWF, worked directly with many conservation organizations (Fauna and Flora International, Butterfly Conservation, World Land Trust, Population Matters, etc.)
