Charleston Lake Provincial Park – Sandstone Island Trail
More than 300 million years before the age of dinosaurs, ancient seas covered much of North America. Their beaches form the sandstone deposits of today. Follow the 3.3 km (2 miles) trail as it explores ones of these ancient beaches. Along the way you will pass a prehistoric native rock shelter, a turn of the century homestead and a beautiful Charleston Lake.
