Our Provincial Park Adventure continues as we hike Charleston Lake Provincial Park’s Shoreline Trail. What a fantastic hike and the views were spectacular. Like other trails in the park, we hiked this one a few times and would highly recommend taking the opportunity to check it out during different times of the day and different seasons.
The Shoreline Trail is 2 kilometres long and has two different loops that you can take while hiking. We actually missed one of them somehow. The trail was fairly easy, with some hills and rocky areas. We hiked over a small bridge, up through the forest, passed several beautiful lookouts where Chloe swam or drank from and around a tranquil pool. The hike was diverse and offered several vistas along the way that we stopped and enjoyed.
This stunning trail was filled with beautiful vistas, gorgeous rock outcroppings, several Alvar areas and a mature forest that provided shade on hot days. The birds sang to us during our hike and we spotted an osprey over the lake, which is always exciting.
This park just kept astonishing us!
