Presqu’ile Provincial Park has several amazing hiking trails that are diverse and full of wildlife and natural beauty. One of those trails is the 4.3 kilometre New Castle Trail located near the tip of the peninsula. The flat, easy hike takes visitors along a tree-lined road to the head of the trail and then turns off into mature Beech-Maple forests, fern groves, open fields and through a pine plantation. Along the way, there are many opportunities to either lengthen the hike or venture off to various destinations, like the nature centre and the lighthouse museum.
