High Pines Trail is located at Bon Echo Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. The 1.7-kilometre trail was within walking distance of our campground, but there was a parking lot at the head of the trail. The hike was fairly easy but on hilly terrain that wouldn’t be suitable for bikes, wheelchairs or strollers.
We only hiked the trail once, for some unknown reason, but it was very well-maintained, not too buggy and very enjoyable. It would have been nice if there was a lookout over the Mazinaw Lake but still worth doing while camping at the park.
Chloe the Foxhound enjoyed following her nose along the trail and up steep rocks to check out a scent. It was definitely a beautiful morning for a hike.
