Since bald eagles use their feathers for balance, they have to have the same number on each wing.

Bald eagles aren’t actually bald.
Eagles can see 4 to 7 times farther than humans.
Young eagles are called eaglets.
Eagles use their hooked beaks, large talons and oversized feet (with spikes) as a type of fishing pole.
Bald eagles live in forested areas near large bodies of water.
The bald eagle only lives in North America.
The bald eagle is Canada’s largest bird of prey.
The pesticide DDT almost wiped out the bald eagle.
Eagle nests are called “Aeries” and are between 1.5 and 2 metres across.
The male eagle is usually smaller than the female.
The Old English word “balde” means white and refers to the white feathers.
Bald eagles can live more than 30 years in the wild.
