The first in our 2019 Summer Provincial Park Adventure. Join us as we explore 8 different provincial parks in Ontario over 26 days with our rescue dog, @Chloe the Foxhound.
On our first day, we start off early from home and spend 7.5 hours travelling to Balsam Lake Provincial Park, just east of Orilla. We listened to our new MP3 CD and enjoyed driving through some small rural towns, including Mennonite communities. We never take the major highways when we go on vacation, especially with the trailer.
After arriving and grabbing a quick dinner we checked out the park store where we found one of our favourite summer treats. We then continued to the dog beach, where Chloe ran around, dug some holes in the sand, barked and dipped her toes in the clear waters of Balsam Lake. What a great dog beach in the park! Highly recommended!
Next week we take you on a bit of a silly hike on Balsam Lake’s Lookout Trail. Another of our ‘off the cuff’ videos to hopefully give you a laugh, at our expense. Get out your bug repellent!
