Quick and Easy Campfire Stew – Cooking With Fire Series – Watch the Video!

Quick and easy meals by the campfire are a must after a long day of hiking at a provincial park. If you are looking for a simple stew to cook in a cast iron dutch oven, then this recipe might be for you.

Ingredients:

      • Oil
      • Chicken, cut in cubes
      • Onions, diced
      • Minced garlic
      • Cream of Mushroom Soup
      • Chicken Broth
      • Spices
      • Diced Potatoes
      • Diced Sweet Potatoes
      • Fresh or frozen vegetables

Switch out the protein, vegetables and spices and you have a basic recipe that can turn into a variety of stews. If you prefer a thinner style soup, skip the creamed soup and just add broth.

So many options that you can make this your own.

Make sure you either have enough hungry campers to eat it all, or place in a fridge or cooler for the leftovers because this is a generous amount of food!
