On our third day on Prince Edward Island, we decided to take a driving tour to see some of the red sandstone cliffs. We ended up near Rocky Point and found some parking at the end of Wharf Road and walked along the coast for 2 or 3 kilometres. Across the harbour was the captial city of Charlottetown.
The tide was out so we had access to a lot of the beach. We saw some spectacular redstone formations the were carved out from erosion and lots of clams, seaweed and other marine life.
We really enjoyed this stop and ended going back during our trip in 2013. Check back again to see that post and those pictures!
