Serene Sights At Tea Lake Dam Picnic Area in Algonquin Park – Watch the Video

This is the first in a series of videos from a two week camping trip to Algonquin Park during the summer of 2018.

The Tea Lake Dam Picnic Area is one of our favourite places to stop to have lunch, to read or to look for wildlife. On this day we spotted a Great Blue Heron doing yoga in a tree, several butterflies and dragonflies, as well as a few Common Mergansers.

The area has some beautiful and serene sights that require no hiking and the peaceful sounds of rushing water from the dam area is always enjoyable to sit and listen to. In the fall I have watched dozens of Ruffed Grouse, Wild Turkey and a variety of other birds up-close.
