Exploring La Bloc Beach At Cape Breton Highlands National Park

Prior to the creation of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park in 1936 more than 30 families lived near this beach and the wharf that once stood here. This area an economic centre for those families and was the centre of the lobster cannery, fish shacks and wharf industries. The beach is a great place to go for a swim, explore the shoreline or have a picnic. Sunsets are also fabulous from this location!
