Maya Retrieves Clam Shells At Cousins Beach, PEI

This was the last day of our East Coast trip. Thirty-six days and 11,750 kilometres later, we packed up the truck and left our cottage bright and early. We took our last little adventure down a red dirt road until we came across Cousins Beach. We walked the beautiful beach for several hours and allowed Maya to swim and retrieve as much as she wanted to in the salty ocean water. There were no sticks on the beach but she found old clam shells and decided she would retrieve any that she spotted in the water.

We ate sandwiches and then drove back across the Confederation Bridge and started our long drive home. We decided to bypass the main route through part of New Brunswick and took a less travelled road. The rarely used highway from Miramichi and Plaster Rock was long and bumpy and we wouldn’t recommend it if you are in a hurry.

We arrived in Edmunston and stayed at a stinky Days Inn for the evening. The next morning we were off to Cornwall, Ontario for our next leg and then the next day we were back home. What a trip!
