Sarnia’s Seaway Kiwanis Children’s Animal Farm Through The Years

The Children’s Animal Farm, which is located within Sarnia’s Canatara Park, has recently reopened to the public after closing due to Covid-19. They are now allowing 100 people at a time in the park and it is obvious how many local families have been missing this unique venue.

The park opened back in 1964 and has been supported generously by the Seaway Kiwanis Club and other local organizations. The farm, or the “Park Zoo” as it was once nicknamed, features a variety of animals, landscapes and buildings. People of all ages can visit, for free, throughout the year to see their favourite animals or to visit the new animals that were either born or adopted by the farm.

Through the years I have enjoyed visiting the Animal Farm and photographing the various animals that call it home. It is a great place to take children to experience and learn about farms and farm animals.

Below are some of many photos I have taken through the years, how many of the same animal can you spot? Do you know any of their names?
