Views Along Whiskey Rapids Trail In Algonquin Park – Watch the Video!

Our Algonquin Park Series continues as we take you along the river and trail of Algonquin’s Whiskey Rapids Trail. The previous summer we were unable to hike this trail because of flooding that caused the trail to be unsafe.

The trail follows part of the Oxtongue River which eventually leads to Whiskey Rapids. The views are very picturesque and quite accessible. There are places to go down to the river’s shores to either play in the water or sit and have a snack along the water’s edge. This was one of Chloe’s favourite hikes because there were several areas she could play in the water without having to swim.

Like most trails in Algonquin Park, Whiskey Rapids Trail is great for hikers looking to spot wildlife, wildflowers and a variety of mushrooms.
