Southampton’s Fairy Lake trail features numerous tree carvings and a pond filled with fish and snapping turtles. This trail is located close to downtown, other parks and the amazing Offshore bakery. Visitors can park near the Bruce County Museum and easily walk down to the trail. This 1-kilometre path is open year-round and is flat, making it accessible for strollers, kids and walkers.
In the summer tourists and locals enjoy the short walk around the lake, sitting on benches or listening to the summer music that is played at the amphitheatre.
The pond is filled with huge carp and swans, ducks and geese are often spotted and can be fed.
We enjoy hiking this trail year-round and although it isn’t long, it’s in a wonderful community filled with interesting things to do and see.
