Vibrant Colours Along Berry Hill Pond Trail, Gros Morne National Park

After breakfast at our campsite, we decided to walk to the closest trail, Berry Hill Pond Trail. The trail is accessible from the campground, and is about 2 kilometres long. The trail was easy to follow and was mostly flat and level. It was a cool morning, about 16 degrees Celcius and everything was very wet after overnight rain showers. The sky was overcast but the colours of all of plants and vegetation were extremely vibrant so I grabbed my macro and off to the trail we went.

There were lots of wildflowers and mushrooms along the trail and a gorgeous view of Gros Morne mountain, off in the distance. We were told that we might see beavers on the pond, but we weren’t so lucky.

Overall, a beautiful, easy trail that would be enjoyable early in the morning or as an after dinner walk, especially if you are camping at Berry Hill Campground, like we were.
