Karner Blue Sanctuary is a small protected piece of property owned and maintained by the Lambton Wildlife organization. It is located in Lambton Shores, Ontario and used to be the home of Karner Blue butterflies.

It was difficult to follow any trail and it is one of the few places we have hiked that dogs were not allowed.

The day was overcast but not too cold for a snowy winter day. After we hiked around we headed to the Pinery.

The sanctuary was set up to protect the land, not to have alot of people hiking through. There are many trails in the area that are more clearly marked and maintained.
